Hand Painting
Materials needed:
smocks
different colours of paint
aluminum pie pans or flat containers
assorted extracts; vanilla, peppermint, caramel, etc (be careful of certain allergies.)
craft paper
wet-wipes and paper towel
Add different extracts to different colours of paint. Let children place a hand in their desired choice of paint and stamp it on paper. Talk about the colour they chose. Ask child if they can identify the smell. Talk about which finger is which. The children can wipe their hand(s) and do several more hand prints. When children's art is dry, you and they can see if they still smell.
