Materials:
a large and long sheet of black paper
star stickers
glitter-glue
predrawn and precut planets, moons, space crafts and satellite stations
gold and silver paint
sun, star and, moon sponges and/cookie cutters
Perhaps, do this activity sometime after doing a circle about our solar system.
Tape black paper to wall, low enough for children to reach. Supply children with supplies and explain that we all can make a solar system with many moons, suns, spacecrafts and satellite stations. Explain that stars are actually suns, but so far away they look like sparkles. Use glitter-glue and sparkles for that. Coloured glitter-glue can be for rings around planets or storms in space.
